The Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation organized concerts of Russian and Brazilian musicians in honor of the 80th Victory anniversary, which gathered more than two thousand spectators in Brazil.
The organizer involved the musician Petr Lundstrem and tenor Mikhail Nor. The event was organized in collaboration with the cellist André Micheletti and the University of São Paulo Symphony Orchestra under the direction of maestro Rubens Ricciardi.
The program was aimed at preserving historical memory. The concerts featured works by Russian and Brazilian composers, as well as wartime songs. The performances took place in three Brazilian cities – São Carlos, Ribeirão Preto and Rio de Janeiro, gathering more than 2,000 spectators.
As part of the project, Lundström held a series of master classes for students of the music department of the University of São Paulo, one of the largest educational institutions in Brazil. The students learned how to place accents in musical works and exchanged experiences.
